Austinites looking for housing within walking distance to a MetroRail stop will have a new choice starting in 2018. Construction started in January on 353 new rental units next to the Crestview MetroRail stop.
The 4-story project will have a mix of one- to three-bedroom units and will be seeking LEED certification. According to a news release, outdoor amenities will include three courtyards and access to a 7,000-sf dog park. Indoor amenities will include a conference room, resident lounge, clubroom and fitness center as well as wi-fi throughout the common areas.
The project is being developed by a joint venture between High Street Residential (the multifamily-focused subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company) and Principal Real Estate Investors.
