CRANE WATCH: 70 Rainey

January 20, 2017 by Editor

Rainey Street’s newest high rise will be going vertical soon.

The tower crane at 70 Rainey was erected this week, evidence that the next phase of construction is officially underway.

In August, the project officially broke ground on the first phase of the project – drilled piers and other foundation work – while the remainder of the financing was assembled. The site had been largely quiet during the final months of 2016.

$106 million in additional construction financing was announced earlier this month, allowing the project to continue construction. According to a release, developer Sackman Enterprises is partnering with Starryland USA Corp., a subsidiary of Chinese developer Fuxing Huiyu Real Estate.

Flintco is the general contractor and Page is the project architect. Click here for all of our previous coverage of this project.
