The Trail Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group that implements improvements to the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake, is celebrating the completion of its latest project: the Heron Creek Restrooms.

Heron Creek Restroom Construction

The new restrooms will become a welcome amenity to users of the trail. The striking design was created by Mell Lawrence Architects. Balfour Beatty was the general contractor and Austin-based Sarabi Studio was the structural and architectural steel fabricator. BIG RED DOG Engineering | Consulting provided engineering services for the project, and Architectural Engineers Collaborative was the structural engineering consultant for the steel and concrete design of the buildings.

The Trail Foundation is having a ribbon cutting and “first flush” ceremony this Saturday February 21st to celebrate the project’s completion.
