Housing Development Adds New Options to Fast-Growing East Riverside Area (PHOTOS)

The East Riverside Corridor Plan may be moving at a fairly slow pace (though this recent campaign launch for Austin rail looks promising), but that’s not stopping private developers from trying to make this section of town more appealing. Developments can be seen from South Shore District and AMLI South Shore on the I-35 end, now all the way to the Hwy 71 end with the recent addition of Milestone Community Homes’ Eastwood at Riverside. This gated community of homes, similar to Milestone’s 15 other Austin properties, recently opened for viewing and sales, adding some variety and much-needed real estate options to the area.

The interiors of the homes in these communities are well designed for families, with four different floor plans ranging from 1272 to 2185 square feet, each of those with three different elevation levels to choose from. Eastwood at Riverside is also the perfect place for Shakespeare’s biggest fans to settle down; the street names in the community are all inspired by some of his most famous works: Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Cordelia (King Lear), and Tybalt and Montague (Romeo and Juliet).
