Franklin BBQ Expands with New Smokehouse (PHOTOS)

May 31, 2014 by Editor

Franklin BBQ, easily one of Austin’s most popular BBQ spots, is currently undergoing an expansion to help feed the masses who happily line up for hours to taste the brisket and other smoked meats.

Check out the photos below of the ongoing construction:

Franklin BBQ originally opened as a food trailer in 2009, and has become extremely popular in the short time it has been open. This expansion will add a smokehouse to the location on East 11th street, and will help cut down on the 24-hour cooking schedule (down to 20 hours, according to a recent interview on Eater).

Have you tried Franklin BBQ? Are you excited for the expansion to be completed? Leave your comments below!
