More Office Space to Rise in Downtown Austin

October 10, 2013 by Editor

The office building boom continues. The City of Austin is currently reviewing a site plan for a proposed office building just west of the capital, at the corner of West 13th and San Antonio.  The 0.33-acre site of the proposed building currently consists of two small one-story office buildings.

The Du Pont Group is looking to develop the site, which is currently zoned for Downtown Mixed-Use.  The existing buildings would be demolished to make way for the 44,600 SF office building plus 2,005 SF of ground floor retail space.  There will also be 3 floors of parking.

Below is a rendering of the project from the developer’s website.  Construction is projected to start in the Spring of 2014. BuildingATX will bring you updates to this project as it moves through the development process.
