
Check Out The New 2nd Street Bridge Over Shoal Creek
Amid the flurry of redevelopment in the Seaholm district of downtown Austin (Seaholm Power Plant Redevelopment, new Central Library, and the Thomas C. Green Water Treatment Plant Redevelopment), there is a lesser-known but important project being undertaken by the City of Austin. 2nd Street is being extended over Shoal Creek (from West Ave. to Nueces St.), literally bridging the gap between all of the upcoming redevelopment projects in the immediate area. See the rendering below; you can see how the new bridge will be right in the middle of it all.
